Cessna Pilots Association to Explore Group Policy Insurance Solutions

Denver, CO — Cessna Pilots Association (CPA) is exploring the possibility of a CPA-sponsored group aircraft insurance program designed specifically for Cessna owners and pilots. Many aircraft owners know firsthand that aviation insurance can be difficult to obtain, expensive to maintain, and often poorly tailored to the way they actually operate their airplanes. CPA members experience these challenges every year—and we believe there may be a better way forward.

To evaluate whether a group policy solution for Cessna aircraft could improve access, stability, or overall value, CPA is conducting a short survey of both members and non-members.

CPA’s Unique Position

Cessna Pilots Association’s rich history as a safety and maintenance focused owner’s association has resulted in CPA being uniquely positioned to gather meaningful, aircraft-specific data from Cessna pilots and owners. If there is a way to work with insurers on a Cessna-focused group policy, we want to understand it—and your input is essential to that process. At this stage, CPA is in an exploratory phase. We are gathering information to understand whether a group insurance arrangement is feasible and beneficial; no specific policy, pricing, or provider has been selected.
