  • I’m sorry. I know this has been discussed but I can’t find it. I’m looking for a source for repair or replacement of the Stewart Warner SW1372 CHT Probe. Several years ago I found a man that rebuilt them but I’ve lost his contact info. Any help would be appreciated.

    I’ve owned a 1969 “M” Skylane for 30 years. When I bought it the market was somewhat like it is now – if the ink is dry on the latest Trade a Plane issue the plane has probably been sold!   • I’ve never seen a reg that says insurance is required for part 91. “ARROW” requires “operating handbook” which means whatever the manufacturer issued for the particular model.

  • I apologize, I realize that this topic has been addressed in the past but I haven’t been on this  site since the old forums (that I understood) were taken down.

    I remember suggestions for new hinge pins for the cowl flaps. One suggestion was a clothes hanger and I’ve used that but afraid that the right one is starting to weaken. Any other ideas…[Read more]

  • I sent mine to Saircorp for custom leather covers and have been very pleased. Mine were pitted as well so I went ahead and spent the extra for the leather and glad that I did.
