It’s been several years since we last held courses in Cincinnati. If you own, fly, or maintain any of the Legacy 182 models, you don’t want to miss out on this course. Due to the popularity and great participation of the attendees, we’ve expanded the Legacy 182 course to two and a half days. The course covers the details of every system in the aircraft: flight controls, electrical, hydraulic, fuel, pressurization, propeller, power plant and engine management. Paul New will also present his tactical and strategic engine data analysis.

Paul New will be your instructor for this class. Paul holds an FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate with FAA Inspection Authorization. He was an FAA Designated Airworthiness Representative for a few years as well. In 2007 he was selected as the FAA National Aviation Maintenance Technician of the Year.

This is a ticket to the live, in-person event in Cincinnati, OH on June 7th-9th, 2024. There are no virtual or other video options for this event.

Description

CPA will conduct this total-immersion, two-and-a-half-day course on the Cessna 182R and Earlier (1956 thru 1986) in Cincinnati, OH, June 7-9, 2024. The course will begin at 1:00 pm on Friday and wrap up Sunday afternoon.

The registration fee is $995 for non-members and $895 for members.

The course will be held in the Hawk Building (the “old” Sporty’s Building) on the Clermont County Airport (I69). For those flying in, parking will be on the west side of the airport, near the Hawk Building. If you need fuel, you can let the FBO know upon arrival. 

Transportation will be provided between the Clermont County Airport and the Fairfield Inn.

For commercial flights, you’ll want to use The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG). The airport is approximately 35 minutes from Clermont County Airport.

You’ll enjoy lunch with the Sporty’s guys at their Famous Saturday Cookout. On Sunday, Dennis and Cynthia Wolter of Air Mod, will be your hosts for lunch and show you around their custom interior shop. 

 

Hotel Reservations

CPA has blocked rooms at the Fairfield Inn Cincinnati Eastgate Hotel. It’s located at 4521 Eastgate Blvd. The room rate is $139 for 2 Queens and $149 for 1 King per night plus tax and includes a full hot breakfast. You can book your room by calling 513-947-9402. All reservations must be accompanied by a first-night room deposit or guaranteed with a major credit card. The hotel will not hold any reservations unless secured by one of these methods.

Reservations MUST be made by May 6th to guarantee rate and room availability. Cancellations must be received by the hotel two (2) days before arrival.

 

Course cancellations cannot be made within 14 days of the course start date. Cancellations received between 15 and 30 days are eligible for a refund of half the tuition. Cancellations made before 30 days are eligible for a full refund minus the $100 deposit.
