I had no idea we needed to register that beacon but it should have dawned on me. Thank you for posting the question. I would have assumed the dealer I purchased from would have either done this on my behalf or had it as a check list item not having ever owned a plane myself previously.
I bought a 2007 T182T from Van Bortel in Arlington, TX and they had to replace the sending units two times because they consistently would give red X’s. The second time they indicated there was a bad batch of sending units from the manufacturer allegedly. Since they replaced the 2nd time, I have had no issues at all.
